Development of Fuji Silysia Chemical Ltd. 1931 - 1961

- 1931:Started manufacturing and selling sodium silicate under the company name of Takahashi Water glass Manifactured in Osaka.

- 1951:Established Fuji Sodium Silicate Co.,Ltd., started manifacturing for the first time Silica Gel.

- 1961:Fuji Sodium Silicate Co.,Ltd., Meika Industrial Co.,Ltd., and Takahashi Water Glass Mfg.Co.,Ltd.,merged into a new company,Fuji Chemical Co.,Ltd. acquired Keiso Chemical Laboratory (Head office in Nagoya).

Development of Fuji Silysia Chemical Ltd. 1962 - 1992

- 1962: Established a plant for the manufacture of Silica Gel at Honai-cho, Nishiuwa-gun, Ehime-ken (Present Ehime Plant).

- 1965: A 50/50 joint venture was established with Davison Chemical Division of W.R.Grace (USA) to continue Silica Gel Business under the name of Fuji- Davison Chemical Ltd. and the Syloid Trade mark.

- 1973:Completed the construction of the head office building at Kozoji-cho,Kasugai-shi,Aichi-Ken. Opened a sales office in Tokyo.

- 1978/79: Sales Office in Hiroshima, Fukuoka and in Nagoya.

- 1984/86:Completed Hyuga plant for micronized silica and the construction of the Technical Center building. Opened a sales office in Osaka and a branch office in Korea.

- 1988/92: Continuous Expansion of Hyuga plant.

Development of Fuji Silysia Chemical Ltd. 1993-2004

- 1993:Dissolved joint venture with W.R.Grace  (USA) and reestablished as Fuji Silysia Chemical Ltd.,a wholly - owned Japanese company.  Established a Sales office in Oregon,U.S.A.

- 2000:Started manufacturing Sylysia (Micronized Silicas) in Greenville North Carolina - USA.

- 2002 September :Started manifacturing Sylysia(Micronized Silicas) in Bussi Pescara (Italy) a 50/50 joint venture Solvay/Ausimont and Fuji Silysia with name of Silysiamont.

- 2004: Ausimont share is replaced by Solvay and Fuji Silysia. Silysiamont becomes a joint venture 50% Solvay and 50% Fuji Silysia.
